Ministry of Agriculture

Abstract

It was founded in 1926, but later underwent a dissolution, a merge, a dissociation, affiliation to other ministries, a re-initiation, a merge in 1967 with an initiated Ministry of Agricultural Reform, a subsequent dissociation in 1968, a re-merge in 1972, a unification with an initiated Ministry of Irrigation, a dissociation from the Ministry of Irrigation and an inclusion of the Ministry of Irrigation into the Ministry in 1987.

Goals of the Ministry (AS PER ARTICLE 1 OF ITS ACT NO. 7, YEAR 1933 FOR REALIZATION OF AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT):

1. Conducting research to develop the agricultural proces,
2. Providing services in the domain of phyto-production and bio-production,
3. Propagation of modern agriculture,
4. Provision of agricultural requisites,
5. Implementation of Agricultural Reform Acts, and
6. Implementation of National Development Plans and Agricultural Programs emanating thereof.
